The Objective
To create a unique and distinctive event theming style to differentiate CAFBA from its competitors and following on from two years of virtual events, reestablish the event as the pre-eminent event for Australian Commercial & Asset Financial Brokers.
The CAFBA Annual Conference 2022 was split into two key events:
The daytime business focussed Challenge of Change, aimed at educating and empowering Financial Brokers and Asset Managers.
The evening Awards Dinner - Back Together Again, aimed at rewarding and recognising the best performers in the Australian Broker industry.
The Solution:
Challenge of Change
Change is a powerful driver in life and events; Challenge is the human factor stepping up to what needs to done. To blend these two key attributes to appeal to a corporate audience representing a range of demographics, the project needed a simple, yet smart, theming.
The Greek symbol for change is a triangle or delta (δ, or ∆). Aligning the shape with the mathematic design thinking of Escher, Dovetail recommended using a simple vector-based styling that can be easily customised to suit the different event messages and topics; as well be animated for dynamic presentations. Small business silhouettes provided the audience with relevance to each topic and created a scale and dimension for the challenge ahead. The daytime palette was closely align to the existing CAFBA corporate palette, mixed in with a fresh sky blue and an edgy texture to appeal to a changing market.
Awards Dinner - Back Together Again
A night of celebration, focussing on the best performers in the commercial financial brokers and asset managers sector, the evening theme took on a more golden and glitzy feel. Key background brand assets were consistent with the day time visuals, but now with strong triangular stripes added to create dynamic transitions and movement throughout the night. Finalist graphics and badges for social media were provided pre and post event to extend the visual reach.
